Canada’s Climate Game (of Thrones)
Andray is shamed for driving an SUV. Trudeau is shamed for brushing off young people. Desmond is shamed for not watching Game of Thrones.

Andray and Desmond speak to climate change expert Jason Thistlethwaite from the University of Waterloo about what was actually accomplished at the Climate Conference in Paris. Their conversation touches on the “give a shit factor”, Game of Thrones and the inevitable death of the suburbs. Andray is shamed for driving an SUV. Desmond is shamed for not watching enough TV.

Plus, they speak to Indigenous activist Erica Violet Lee, who attended the Conference as part of the Canadian Youth Delegation and was not happy with what went down. She talks about not being taken seriously by the Canadian government and watching men in suits remove Indigenous rights from the agreement.

Full disclosure: Erica Violet Lee worked for NDP candidate Sheri Benson’s campaign in the last election. She has never been a member of the party and is not currently working for the NDP in any capacity.
